solstice greetings

snow YO hello
We've arrived to the shortest day of the year. And that implies one gratifying thing; tomorrow there will be more!  More daylight, and hopefully more sunshine.

We're psyched to be sticking close to home for the close of December.  We've been poring through the distribution and income data, planning for next season.  The catalogs have all arrived, so we're checking the viability of the seeds on hand so our orders can go out shortly.  If there's any varieties that you particularly favored, don't hesitate to contact us.

During these final hours and days of 2012, whether you are celebrating the rebirth of the Sun or the birth of the Son, hope the close of your year is warm and contemplative.

Preserves Swap

As some folks may know, we created this event in 2010 to celebrate the close of the growing season. It allows community members to get together to share, talk, learn and trade together. We most often bring canned goods: pickles, jams, salsas and sauces.  But the sky is the limit as long as it's food that you have prepared or grown.  In past seasons we've seen wines, syrups, cheese, granola, herbs, meat, eggs, baked goods and more. There's no minimum amount required to join, so make up a batch of something tasty and join us Saturday morning!
